Can I choose myself if my pension will move to the new rules?

You cannot choose this yourself. Your pension moves to the new rules. Your former employer has made arrangements for your pension.

Can I choose how my pension will be invested?

In the new pension, you decide how much risk we take with your pension. You can choose the standard level of risk, or opt for more or less risk. If you take more risk, your expected pension is higher, but less certain. If you take less risk, your expected pension is lower, but more certain. You can make this choice once we move to the new pension.

Will my pension go up under the new rules?

If we look at the current financial situation, most people with a pension with us will be better off under the new rules. But a lot can still change between now and 1 January 2027, the expected date. Changes in your life, the economy or our financial situation will affect the amount of your pension. Find out when we will be able to tell you more about the amount of your pension

Do I get compensation?

For some groups, the new pension is less favourable. Under the current rules for pension, they would accrue more pension than under the new pension. That is why they may receive extra money in their personal pension pot. This is called compensation. Compensation is a payment for pension you will no longer accrue because of the move to the new pension. You no longer accrue pension with us. So you do not miss out on pension. This means you do not receive compensation. Read more about compensation
