You have received the first puzzle piece of your new pension. The puzzle represents the major pension changes taking place in the Netherlands. We are not making these changes all at once, but piece by piece. This helps us make sure everything is done carefully. For us as a pension provider, it is a complex puzzle. But there is no need to worry. You do not need to do anything yourself.

The first piece of the puzzle is in place

Your employer or sector has made arrangements for your pension. Will you have a solidarity contribution scheme or a flexible contribution scheme? And what does that mean for you? These arrangements are the first piece of the puzzle. You can read more about this in this magazine.

The full picture is not clear yet

We expect to move to the new pension on 1 January 2027. The question on everyone’s mind is: what will my new pension look like in euros? Will I receive more? Or less? We cannot tell you that yet, because we do not have all the puzzle pieces yet.

The 5 puzzle pieces of the new pension

The amount of your expected pension depends on, among other things:

  • how much pension you have built up
  • our financial situation
  • your personal situation

These pieces can still change. For example, if you change jobs, work more or less, divorce or if the economy changes. In the coming period, more of these pieces fall into place. This is what you can expect from us:

You will receive an example of what the new rules for your pension mean for you.

Puzzle piece 3 November 2026

You will receive a first estimate of your new pension. These are not the final amounts yet. The final amounts depend on our financial situation on 1 January 2027.

Puzzle piece 4 January 2027

We will inform you once the pensions have been converted. We will also tell you what our financial situation was at the time of the transfer.

Puzzle piece 5 Spring 2027

In this final puzzle piece, you will see the amounts of your new pension. These are no longer estimates. These are the amounts that apply to you from then on. The puzzle is then complete.
